Ventiane, Summer 2008

The Patuxai is the tallest building in Vientiane. Similar to the Arc de Triophe, it shows the French influence in Laotian architecture but it has a grandeur all its own. In July of 2008, I climbed it.

In the summer of 2008, I spent a couple of weeks in Pattaya, Thailand, south of Bangkok. Here are some pictures of that (admittedly wretched) city.

We spent an afternoon at Buddha Park somewhere in southern Laos. It was filled with beautiful statues of Buddhas.

Painting with Light is a technique with my Canon SD-100 that I discovered last summer when I first got the camera. For awhile, I was obsessed with playing with it, but eventually got bored...I think because there was only so much I could do with it. Perhaps again someday...
